Veronica ‘Tidal Pool’

Creeping Speedwell

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.540.850

A new hybrid creeping Speedwell from the Chicago Botanic Garden. This plant has inherited the best traits of both its parents ( V. armena and V. pectinata ‘Rosea’). Dense and fast spreading with silvery blue-green leaves. Masses of white eyed, medium to deep blue-violet flowers cover the plants in late April to mid-May. Attractive groundcover all year, handling cold, heat, humidity, rain, and drought equally well. Evergreen. Well suited to the rock garden, or for edging along borders or pathways. Also ideal for planting between flagstones. Clumps may be easily divided in early spring or fall. Evergreen. Developed by Dr. Jim Ault at Chicago Botanic Garden for Chicagoland Grows®. USPP#23341: unlicenced propagation prohibited.
