Echinacea ‘Sunbird’

Coneflower

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.650.540

Coneflowers continue to be a very popular perennial. Plants form a medium to tall clump of coarse dark-green leaves, by midsummer bearing large daisy flowers with petals surrounding an orange-brown central cone. This compact selection features large, dark yellow petals that droop down in an attractive way. The flowers have a long life span and hold their colour until the end of the bloom cycle. Removing faded flowers regularly will greatly increase the flowering period. Seedheads have good winter interest. Outstanding for cutting. Attractive to butterflies. Plants may be easily divided in early spring. Part of the BIRD™ Collection from Terra Nova Nurseries. USPP#24802: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
