Aster sedifolius ‘Nanus’

Rhone Aster

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.085.700

Also known as Michaelmas Daisies, these are terrific favorites for autumn colour in the perennial border. Plants form a bushy clump of soft, ferny leaves, bearing loads of small lavender-blue daisy flowers. Pinch plants before July to maintain a cushion effect. Excellent for cutting. Foliage is mildew resistant, and plants will tolerate drier conditions than most Aster selections. Superb container plant, because of the finely textured foliage. Especially good in short summer regions, one of the few varieties that is a reliable bloomer in Zones 2 and 3.
