Coreopsis grandiflora ‘Sunfire’

Coreopsis

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.165.700

Also known as Tickseed. This bushy, midsized selection forms a mound of leathery green leaves, bearing upright stems loaded with single golden-yellow flowers with a burgundy eye. Flowers for many weeks, but removing faded flowers regularly will encourage new buds to form into the fall. Terrific in a border or in containers. Plants are easily divided in early spring, and this should be done every 2 to 3 years. Tolerant of hot, humid summer climates. Attractive to butterflies. A 2004 Fleuroselect Gold Medal Winner.
