Dianthus ‘Frosty Fire’

Border Pinks

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.180.530

Cousins to the carnation, Border Pinks are especially popular as an edging plant, or in the rock garden. This Canadian selection forms a low, grassy cushion of silver-blue leaves, bearing masses of small, fringed ruby-red flowers in late spring. Delightfully fragrant. Drought tolerant once established. Clip lightly after blooming. Not always easy to divide, but this can be attempted in early spring or fall. Flowers may be attractive to butterflies. Evergreen. Registered with COPF.
