Erysimum linifolium ‘Variegatum’

Shrubby Wallflower

USDA Zone: 7-9

Plant number: 1.206.150

A shrubby, upright growing selection that does best in mild-winter regions. Handsome cream and green variegated leaves set off the profuse clusters of mauve and brown flowers. This wallflower blooms over a long season, sometimes all winter in warm coastal areas. Plants develop a woody base and should be sheared back to 6 inches in midsummer to promote fall flowering, and maintain a compact habit. In colder winter regions this performs best as a container plant, brought indoors to a cool bright area in late fall. Drought tolerant once established. Attractive to butterflies. Evergreen.
