European Meadowsweet is a border perennial with bold, ferny foliage similar to Astilbe. Plants form a bushy clump, bearing sprays of white flowers in early summer. This selection is grown more for the green and creamy-yellow variegated foliage, the flowers are sometimes trimmed off to encourage more leaves. Outstanding in containers, or as an accent. Clumps may be easily divided in early spring. Requires a soil that will not dry out during the summer.
