Geranium pratense
Meadow Cranesbill |
USDA Zone: 3-9 |
Plant number: 1.230.470
The Border selections of Cranesbill Geranium are valuable fillers for colour in early to mid summer. This species has a good show of large violet-blue cup shaped flowers, over a bushy mound of deeply-cut green leaves. Cut back hard after flowering to rejuvenate the foliage. Excellent in a woodland garden. Appreciates a moist site. This species tends to self-seed freely, and naturalizes very well in less formal parts of the garden.
