Geranium × oxonianum ‘Katherine Adele’

Cranesbill Geranium

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.230.730

The Border selections of Cranesbill Geranium are valuable fillers for the perennial garden. This hybrid forms a broad mound of deeply lobed green leaves heavily marked with maroon-burgundy. Tiny near-white flowers appear in spring then occasionally through the summer. Plants need to be cut back hard in midsummer to encourage fresh new foliage. Easily divided in spring or fall. One of the best choices for massed plantings, filling in quickly to create a bushy groundcover. Prefers a rich, moist soil. Evergreen in mild winter regions. This selection is reported to self-seed prolifically in some climates. Avoid planting if this might be a problem.
