This species of Statice was just recently introduced to gardens from the Balkan region of eastern Europe. It forms a low mound of paddle shaped blue-green leaves, then in late summer develops loose branching sprays of tiny white flowers that are excellent for cutting. Perfect near the front of a sunny border, in containers or in a large rock garden. Quite possibly hardy in Zone 4 or colder. Introduced by Jelitto Seeds of Germany, in 2007.
