Heuchera ‘Mocha’
Fancy-leaf Coral Bells |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.266.090
This European hybrid forms a mound of strikingly huge maple-shaped leaves that emerge coppery in spring, darkening to charcoal black by summer. Tall sprays of ivory-white flowers rise above in mid to late summer, later than most other selections. Sturdy in habit, nice for borders and smashing in containers. Remove any winter-burned leaves in the spring, otherwise no pruning is required. Developed in France by plant breeder Thierry Delabroye, using Heuchera villosa in his breeding lines. USPP#18386: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
