Hosta ‘Liberty’

Hosta

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.276.970

Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form sturdy mounds of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This midsized selection has thick leaves of matte green, with a contrasting wide, streaky border of yellow that later changes to creamy white. Early summer flowers are lavender. An outstanding specimen selection, with very thick leaves and good slug resistance. While deer enjoy eating Hosta, this variety may be slightly less palatable to deer than others. A sport of the ever-popular H.‘Sagae'. Selected as the 2012 Hosta of the Year by the American Hosta Growers Association. USPP#12531: unlicensed propagation prohibited. Registered with COPF.
