Hosta ‘Undulata Univittata’

Hosta

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.277.250

(Also known as H. undulata ‘Variegated’ or ‘Mediovariegata') Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas. Plants form a sturdy mound of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This low-growing selection has very wavy leaves, white in the centre, streaked with green and chartreuse. Pale lavender flowers appear in July. Hosta go completely dormant in the fall, and the dying foliage can be removed any time before mid spring. Easily divided in either spring or fall, but plants may be left alone for years. Slugs may need to be controlled. Very popular for edging. While deer enjoy eating Hosta, this variety may be slightly less palatable to deer than others.
