Kniphofia ‘Little Maid’
Plant number: 1.300.040
Also known as Torchlily and originating in South Africa, these are easy to grow in the sunny garden, so long as the soil is well-drained, particularly in winter. Plants form a clump of grassy leaves that remain evergreen in milder regions. This compact selection features spikes that open lemon-yellow, aging to creamy-white. Stems are wonderful for cutting. Attractive to hummingbirds. Drought tolerant, once established. Clumps may be divided every 3 to 4 years, in the spring.
