Garden Candy™ Series. An outstanding and easy-to-grow selection of the eastern native Cardinal Flower. Dramatic, dark chocolate-purple foliage holds its deep colour throughout the season. Taller stems appear in mid to late summer, holding spikes of bold, red trumpets that are a magnet for hummingbirds. Long-lived and happy in average to moist soil. Introduced by Peter Heus and brought to market by Angela Treadwell-Palmer of Plants Nouveau. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten.
