Oenothera versicolor ‘Lemon Sunset’

Sundrops

USDA Zone: 7-9

Plant number: 1.400.100

Sundrops are similar to Evening Primrose, but blossoms open in the morning rather than at night. This outstanding selection features flowers that begin soft lemon yellow, deepening to orange-red through the day. Plants form a bushy, upright clump of olive green leaves. An excellent choice for containers, even worth growing as an annual in colder climates. Also grows well in the garden, particularly in hot, dry sites. Removing faded flowers will encourage plants to bloom for longer. A wildflower native to California.
