Primroses come in many shapes and sizes. This forms a large plant, with a rosette of green leaves at the base. Tall. upright stems appear in summer, with a ball-like cluster of dangling bells in bright yellow or orange. Excellent for cutting. Appreciates a site that remains evenly moist all season. Tolerates full sun in cool-summer regions. Terrific at the waterside, or in a wet, boggy spot. Clumps may be divided in early spring.
