Rodgersia aesculifolia

Rodgersia

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.454.400

Also called Chestnut-leaved Rodgersia, this forms an exotic-looking clump of bold green foliage, supporting an airy plume of creamy-white flowers in mid-summer. These prefer a moist, dappled shade setting, but will grow in full sun at the waterside. Useful as a bold, architectural specimen plant. Flowers are good for cutting or drying. Clumps seldom need dividing, but this may be done in early spring. Divisions take a few years to settle back in.
