Saxifraga × urbium ‘Aureopunctata’

Golden London Pride

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.475.350

This form of Saxifrage is by far the easiest to grow. Plants form a low clump of leathery leaves, arranged in rosettes like a Hen-and-Chicks, spreading slowly to form a thick mat. Foliage is dark green with interesting golden-yellow leopard-spots. Stems of airy pale-pink flowers appear in late spring. One of the best all-purpose edging plants for moist, shady areas, and deserving much wider use in gardens. Clumps are easily divided in early spring or late summer. Will tolerate heavy shade, but fallen leaves should be removed to avoid smothering the plants in winter. Evergreen.
