Saxifraga fortunei ‘Rubrifolia’
Japanese Rockfoil |
USDA Zone: 6-9 |
Plant number: 1.475.420
A little-known collector's plant, this forms a low mound of glossy, rounded leaves, in a rich bronzy-red shade. Sprays of white flowers appear in late summer and fall. Best in a lightly shaded rock garden or woodland, but also great in pots. Can be wintered indoors in colder regions. Associates well in the garden with many other Asian woodlanders, like bright blue Corydalis, dwarf Hosta or ferns. Clumps may be divided in early spring.
