Veronica spicata ‘Lavender Lightsaber’

Spike Speedwell

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.540.930

Spike Speedwell is the most popular of the various Veronicas available. This selection, is a companion to V. ‘Blue Skywalker', except with soft lavender flowers covering the top half of the upright habit. Adds height to the middle of the border. Try in narrow spaces needing height, such as small city gardens or narrow borders. Highly valued for its ease of growth and long bloom time. It should have a place in every garden because it goes with everything. Removing faded spikes will keep plants in flower for much longer. Excellent for cutting. Easily divided in fall or early spring. Powdery mildew is sometimes a problem, but growing plants in a moist site will help to prevent this disease. Flowers are attractive to butterflies. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
