Hosta ‘Green Lama’

Hosta

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.700.090

Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form sturdy mounds of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This low-growing selection has pointy dark-green leaves with a shiny finish. Lavender flowers appear in July, held on purple scapes. Ideal for the shady parts of the rock garden, for edging or in containers. Clumps may be easily divided in the spring or fall. A more vigorous sport of ‘Island Charm', registered by Alex Malloy in 2000. Named after a 1940s superhero!
