Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form sturdy mounds of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This medium-sized selection has pointy leaves that begin brilliant yellow-gold in spring, changing to medium green in summer. Pale lavender flowers are held on red stems in August. Excellent for massing, using in containers or as a small specimen.
