An absolutely gorgeous edging plant for shady gardens. This low-growing plant forms a slow-spreading mound of wide, grassy-looking green leaves, dramatically edged in white. The appearance is almost like a dwarf Hosta. Versatile in the garden, also excellent in mixed containers. Foliage dies back over the winter. Insignificant green flowers appear in spring. Discovered by Hans Hansen of Shady Oaks Nursery in Minnesota, as a tissue culture sport of ‘Island Brocade'. USPP#16332: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
