(=Nasella tenuissima) A clump-forming grass, this is a terrific accent for the front of a sunny border, the rock garden, or in mixed containers. Plants form a mound of fine, hair-like green leaves, bearing pale yellow flowers that turn into whiskered tan-coloured heads by late summer. Very soft and silky in appearance. Sometimes acts as a self-seeding annual. Drought tolerant once established.
