(='Cruciato-crisatum') Lady Ferns were very popular in Victorian times, when hundreds of named selections existed. This form has narrow pointed fronds with a forked tip, the frilly leaflets intricately criss-crossed and facing backwards like herring bones. Makes a medium sized mound. Nice towards the front of a moist woodland border. An easy fern, with a non-spreading habit. Leaves may be trimmed to the ground in late fall or early spring. Plants are easily divided in spring, every 3-4 years. Deciduous.
