This is an unusual selection of Coreopsis or Tickseed. It forms a low mound of small, rounded green leaves, bearing upright stems of golden-orange fluted daisy-type flowers beginning in early summer. Blooming continues for many weeks if faded flowers are removed. Terrific for the sunny border, or in containers. Dislikes being overly dry, so water during drought. Tolerates hot, humid summers. Easily divided in either spring or fall. This is a selected form of a wildflower native to the southern USA. Attractive to butterflies. Some flowers will lack the tubular petal form.
