A hybrid between Coral Bells and Foam Flower, combining the best traits of both into one plant. This vibrant selection forms a dense, compact mound of lime green leaves with each leaf featuring a dark red, flame-like blotch in the centre. Centres darken to mahogany as the season progresses. Sprays of cream flowers appear in early summer. Being a H. villosa hybrid, this variety offers more heat and humidity tolerance and excellent vigour. Locate in an area with filtered sun or afternoon shade for best colour and performance. A nice choice for the woodland garden, or for edging in a shady perennial border or rock garden. Evergreen in mild winter regions. Foliage should not be trimmed back in the fall, but plants may be tidied up in spring by removing any brown or tired-looking leaves.
