(Formerly Polygonum) A relatively unknown perennial, with many good features. Plants form a low mound of dense green foliage, bearing upright spikes of bright-pink bottlebrush flowers through the summer months. Excellent in the border, as well as for massed planting. Especially nice in a waterside location. Great for cutting. Remove faded flowers regularly to encourage more buds to form. Clumps may be easily divided in early spring.
