Also called Auriculate Lady Fern. This Japanese species is a nice selection for a woodland border or shady rock garden. It forms a clump of arching triangular leaves, light green in colour with maroon stems. Well behaved and non-spreading. Adapts well to containers. Deciduous: old foliage should be trimmed to the ground in late fall or early spring. Plants benefit from a mulch of compost to help retain soil moisture.
