Athyrium filix-femina ‘Lady in Red’

Lady Fern

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 9.015.350

The Lady Fern features vibrant burgundy stems contrasting beautifully with the lacy green fronds. Easy to grow preferring rich, medium to wet, well-drained soil. Terrific in containers, as a ground cover and for woodland gardens. Frond colour is best when planted in part shade and the red stem colour is most vibrant after the second winter dormancy. Deciduous. Leaves may be trimmed to the ground in late fall or early spring. Plants are easily divided in spring, every 3 to 4 years. Synonymous with Athyrium angustum ‘Lady in Red’.
