Boltonia asteroides Jim Crockett™
False Aster |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.106.110
(='Masbolimket') This selection is named in honor of the Jim Crockett, first host of The Victory Garden television show. Similar in effect to a midsized fall-blooming Aster. Mounding blue-green leaves bear a billowing cloud of lavender-mauve daisies from late summer into autumn. Foliage is resistant to powdery mildew. Great for cutting. An excellent compact selection, developed from a rather tall native North American wildflower by Dr. Thomas Boyle at the University of Massachusetts. USPP#16678, CPBR#2515: unlicensed propagation prohibited. Registered with COPF.
