Echinacea purpurea ‘Green Envy’
Green Coneflower |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.196.730
A distinctive selection of our native Purple Coneflower. Flowers have fairly short, rounded petals of clear green, surrounding an inky-green central cone. As the blooms age the cone becomes brownish and the petals take on purple shadings and streaks. Flowering begins in midsummer and continues for weeks if faded blooms are regularly removed. Coneflowers are sturdy and easy-care perennials that perform best in a sunny location. Flowers are very attractive to butterflies. Seed heads are useful in dried arrangements. Excellent for cutting. Terrific in the sunny border or as a container specimen. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
