Eremurus × isabellinus ‘Cleopatra’
Foxtail Lily |
USDA Zone: 5-9 |
Plant number: 1.199.550
The hybrid Foxtail Lilies are among the most spectacular specimen perennials available, but so seldom seen in gardens. This selection forms a low clump of long strap-shaped leaves, sending up tall stems with orange buds that open into huge bottlebrush spikes of bicolored orange and rust-red flowers. Excellent for cutting. This goes completely dormant after blooming. May be divided after 4 to 5 years in late summer, by lifting the whole root and carefully separating into individual plants. Avoid growing in heavy clay soils.
