It performs best in soils that remain evenly moist, and slightly on the acidic side. Fronds remain evergreen in mild winter regions. Attractive in a shady rock garden, along the edge of a border or in containers. Remove any brown fronds in spring. Clumps may be carefully divided in spring every 4 to 5 years, if desired.
