Thalictrum actaeifolium ‘Perfume Star’
Meadow-rue |
USDA Zone: 5-9 |
Plant number: 1.513.300
Meadow-rue has beautiful, lacy foliage a little bit like a Columbine or Maidenhair Fern in effect. This selection is upright with airy, branching stems of small blue-green leaves. Huge clusters of star-like, fragrant, lavender flowers tipped with white appear in summer. Makes an unusual cut flower. Dislikes excessively hot summers. Terrific in the woodland garden. Beautiful when massed in a partially shaded border. Clumps may be carefully divided in spring every 3 to 4 years if desired. Cut back to the ground in late autumn.
