Hungarian Speedwell is a lower growing perennial, best suited for use in the rock garden, or for edging perennial borders. Plants form a low, mounding clump and bears copious blue flowers in early summer. This is an especially compact selection, with flower spikes in a bright shade of true sky blue. Benefits from a good hard trim after flowers are finished, in order to maintain a nice tight habit. Clumps may be easily divided in fall or early spring. Consider combining with the beet-red foliage of Penstemon ‘Husker Red’ and pink Oriental Poppies.
