 | A groundcover with the wet look! |
 | |
|
Surely regular old Japanese Spurge (Pachysandra terminalis) is North America's #1 most popular groundcover. Its thick, dense appearance and evergreen habit still make it one of the best choices for many applications. 'Green Sheen' is a terrific new variation on the old standby, every bit as vigorous, yet offering a slightly different effect in the garden. The leaves have a bright green colour, polished to a sheen never before seen in the standard run of common groundcovers.
Like any Japanese Spurge, close spacing is recommended for a reasonably fast fill. Place plants about 6 to 8 inches apart and they can be expected to form a pretty solid patch after about 2 to 3 years. Mulching is recommended to reduce weeding and help conserve soil moisture. |
