Upright stems rise taller in summer, with nodding buds that open to round balls of soft lavender-pink flowers. Good for cutting. An easy plant in the rock garden or perennial border, tolerating most soil conditions. Easily divided in spring. Deer resistant. Flowers are attractive to butterflies.
