| Shooting Star is a native North American wildflower. Plants form a low rosette of rounded leaves, bearing short stems of rose-pink flowers with a yellow centre. Petals flare back, giving each blossom a star-like appearance, somewhat like a tiny cyclamen. Prefers a moist to wet site. These will go dormant and disappear by mid summer, do not disturb the area. Excellent for a waterside planting, but adaptable to rich border conditions or the woodland garden. Excellent cut flower.
