| A seldom-seen but easy little alpine plant. This produces a low, shrubby and trailing mound of leathery, evergreen leaves. Slightly taller stems in late spring bear soft lavender-blue shaggy daisy flowers for several weeks. A good choice for the sunny rock garden, but also useful in alpine troughs or gravel gardens. Drought tolerant once established. Should rarely need any pruning, but this should be done only after flowering. Do not cut back in the fall or spring. Not easy to divide.
