| (Formerly Asteromoea) A long-blooming perennial, ideal as a filler plant in the border or around shrubs. This forms a bushy mound of apple-green leaves, bearing small double white daises for most of the summer, almost like little Chrysanthemums. At times flowers become single, with a yellow eye — probably due to weather conditions. Excellent for cutting, Flowers are attractive to butterflies. Very easy, an excellent choice for beginning gardeners. Not spreading or invasive in any way. Tolerates summer heat and humidity. Known in the South as the Orphanage Plant.
