 | Common name : Golden Lemon-balm |

|
 | |
| This is a golden-leaved form of the common Lemon Balm, with uses as both a culinary herb and ornamental perennial. Plants form a low, bushy clump of bright golden-yellow leaves with an intense lemon fragrance and flavor. Insignificant mauve flowers appear in summer. May need protection from hot afternoon sun to prevent the leaves from scorching. A nice edging or tub plant. If the clump becomes too rangy by midsummer, simply hack it back to the ground to rejuvenate the foliage. Evergreen in mild winter regions.
