 | Ranunculus repens ‘Buttered Popcorn’ |
 | Common name : Creeping Buttercup |
 | |
| Creeping Buttercup is a vigorous, spreading plant that is particularly well-suited to growing in sunny, wet areas. Plants form a thick mat of shiny, ferny chartreuse-green leaves, splashed with golden yellow. Small single bright-yellow buttercups begin to appear in late spring. Stems creep along the ground and root in where they touch. Adapts well to containers, and these can be allowed to sit in a garden pond or saucer of water so they remain constantly moist. Flowers are nice for cutting. This plant is a little too aggressive to allow into most perennial borders.
