| A close relative of the familiar Bellflower or Campanula, this is a rock garden plant native to Eastern Europe. It forms a low mound or tuft of hairy leaves, with taller stems that bear dangling pale lavender-purple bell-shaped flowers for several weeks in summer. A short-lived perennial or biennial, this will self-seed where happy without becoming annoying or weedy. Nice for edging, or in the sunny rock garden. Easy. Quite possibly hardy in Zone 5 or colder. Sometimes classified as Campanula zangezura.
