 | Thalictrum rochebruneanum |
 | Common name : Giant Meadow-rue |
 | |
|
|
 | |
| Meadow-rue has beautiful, lacy foliage a little bit like a Columbine or Maidenhair Fern in effect. This species produces rather tall clumps, with deep purple stems that bear big clusters of bright lavender-mauve flowers in midsummer. Both the leaves and flowers are excellent for cutting. Terrific in the woodland garden, or in a moist sunny border. Plants may be easily divided in early spring. This might need to be staked to prevent the tall stems from flopping over.
