 | Get on top of pests and diseases as soon as they are noticed |
 | |
| Whatever your pest or disease problem may be, identifying it is the first step towards finding an effective control. If possible, take a sample of the affected plant (along with any insects that are present) to your garden center and ask their resident pest expert to identify the problem and suggest a control.
Botanical gardens, local Provincial or State Agriculture offices, and Master Gardener clinics are also good resources. Listening to local radio call-in garden shows often will answer any questions you might have.
Perennial reference books often have sections on specific pest and disease problems. Your local bookstore or library should have several to choose from. |
