Geranium phaeum
Mourning Widow Cranesbill |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.230.450
The Border selections of Cranesbill Geranium are valuable fillers for colour in the perennial garden. This species forms a mound of deeply-cut green foliage, bearing unique dark maroon-purple clusters of flowers. Plants need to be cut back after blooming to encourage fresh new foliage. Tolerates dry shade better than most. Excellent choice for a woodland garden. Clumps are easily divided in spring or early fall.
