Aubrieta ‘Doctor Mules Variegated’

Variegated Rock Cress

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.090.060

Rock Cress is an extremely popular rock garden plant, also great in rock walls, for edging or in alpine containers. This variety makes a low carpet or cushion of evergreen leaves, grey-green in colour with creamy-white edging. Velvety purple flowers nearly smother the mound in spring. Sometimes reblooms a bit in the autumn. Plants should be sheared lightly immediately after blooming, to encourage a thick mounding habit. Increase by careful division in early autumn. All-green shoots may arise from time to time, and these should be immediately removed or they will take over and smother the variegated portions.
