Calamintha nepeta ‘Marvelette Blue’

Dwarf Catmint

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.108.140

A compact Catmint from seed offering masses of large, striking, purple-blue flowers on upright spikes the first year. The foliage is mid-green and smells of mint. Terrific for edging a border or growing along a pathway. Also excellent in containers. Flowers are attractive to butterflies. Foliage has a delightful minty fragrance. Easy and reliable, this does not spread around like regular mint. Clumps may be easily divided in early spring. In regions with hot and humid summers this sometimes benefits from a hard clip back in late July, to rejuvenate. Tolerates both dry and moist soils.
